[ Of course, she's wide awake. His son used to stay up all hours of the night playing video games with Prompto when he was that age. Regis suspected as such but still, it doesn't hurt to be polite. Teenagers are fickle creatures. ]

Speaking as a father, somehow that doesn't surprise me.

[ He jokes before getting to the source of the matter. It takes him a moment to find the right words but eventually he does. ]

It would seem that your realm of Eorzea is not that different from Eos.

[ She might recognize that name considering her brother's scholarly pursuits. Not about the world, he knows but about a little fairy bearing the same name. ]

The Six have ruled over Eos since antiquity under the stewardship of the Draconian, also known as Bahamut, ever since the death of our Goddess over the lived long years. During their rule, a great malady struck Eos in the form of the Starscourge, a dreadful disease that brought great sickness and despair across our realm.

In need of succor, Bahamut christened an ancestor hailing from my royal line to act as their "Chosen King" to bring an end to the blight.

Through unforeseen events and great tragedy, the Gods betrayed them and in turn unleashed a great calamity that would soon haunt the rest of house until the end of my days.

The Gods then sought to bless my family with guardianship of the Crystal in hopes of having us purge the darkness from their celestial realm. Such events halted the spread of the Starscourge for a time but not without grave consequences.

Is such a tale commonplace within your realm of false gods? If so, I beseech you to speak honestly and true.

[It's a good thing they're speaking via text because he bristles when the girl mentions Ardyn. Much to his discontent, it seems that many are familiar with that weasel of a man. This worries Regis quite a bit.]

I see you've spoken with the former Chancellor of Niflheim, Ardyn Izunia.

[Just writing that bastard's alias makes him wroth.]

I would advise you not to take his words with much sincerity since Izunia finds sport in putting would-be allies against each other. I certainly have him to thank for the fall of Lucis.

[That's the only warning Alisaie will get at this moment and time.]

The Ascians you speak of certainly sound as fiendish as Bahamut himself but I cannot find it within myself to blame all of the deities for following in his wake. Between the Star Scourage and the Empire's march for conquest, my realm of Eos would be all but doomed if it wasn't for the Draconian's prophecy.

Have they? [ He can't help but grin to himself somewhat. It seems Noctis didn't waste any time letting Alisaie know about that villain but at the same time, it disturbs him to know that Ardyn already set his sights upon her. ] How astute of them both.

I had feared Ardyn's tall-tales would sway any judgment of our world and the Crowned Prince. I'm grateful to know my son has been making his presence known.

[ Well, now she does! Say hello to Noctis' kingly father, Alisaie. ]

Often does the currency for peace seems to be in innocent lives. I have my misgivings about such deeds as well but what of these deities here?

I wonder if they feel the same.

...The Draconian is dead?

[ Guess who didn't know about that. Regis sits there for a moment in complete silence. If Bahamut is dead, then what of the rest of the Astrals? Without the Six, Eos is lost. That much is true even though Bahamut was less of a deity and more of a devil in disguise. ]

Do I dare ask who this mutual acquaintance was? I dare not believe Ardyn's words when all he speaks now is lies.

As for the deities of this realm, I will reserve my judgment for now but I do not foresee this story ending well. Not with the former chancellor roaming about as freely as he does.

That I can promise you.
