[ she doesn't know that regis is noctis' father, however. ]
Aye. It could be argued that knowing the source of the Ascian's pain, one might find their plan understandable as well. It's become known to us that originally our star was one part of a whole, that was sundered apart millenia ago. The ascians seek to rejoin the fourteen shards of said star and have succeeded in six. But it comes at the cost of thousands of innocent lives.
I understand their actions but cannot excuse them.

I had feared Ardyn's tall-tales would sway any judgment of our world and the Crowned Prince. I'm grateful to know my son has been making his presence known.
[ Well, now she does! Say hello to Noctis' kingly father, Alisaie. ]
Often does the currency for peace seems to be in innocent lives. I have my misgivings about such deeds as well but what of these deities here?
I wonder if they feel the same.

[ eugh, emet-selch. however, she's a little surprised to realize that noctis' father is on lunatia as well, though her regard for kingly figures is less than her brother. she focuses on the subject at hand for now. ]
I do not hold any care for the so-called deities here. However, what I can say is they do not make a habit of killing people. I won't say they are harmless, given these transformations, but death does not seem to handle into their repertoire.
They may not be exactly the same as our Primals back home, but it raises suspicion none the less. As well as our meaning for being here and heralded as saviors while given little thought for our own desires and needs outside of Lunatia.

[ Guess who didn't know about that. Regis sits there for a moment in complete silence. If Bahamut is dead, then what of the rest of the Astrals? Without the Six, Eos is lost. That much is true even though Bahamut was less of a deity and more of a devil in disguise. ]
Do I dare ask who this mutual acquaintance was? I dare not believe Ardyn's words when all he speaks now is lies.
As for the deities of this realm, I will reserve my judgment for now but I do not foresee this story ending well. Not with the former chancellor roaming about as freely as he does.
That I can promise you.

[ as for the mutual acquaintance: ]
A man by the name of Emet-Selch. As you cautioned me against Ardyn, I would caution you against his words as well. He is one of those selfsame Ascians.
Then you share my same concerns. While they have proven themselves harmless so far, powerful beings with such sway and the ability to make such changes over others concerns me greatly. To say nothing of how these 'blessings' are viewed.
